If the face is at an angle the lips will come out at an angle as well

Make sure they are facing the camera (noses and chin straight ahead) and have their mouth closed. Make sure there is a clear shape of the lips when zoomed in.
How to take pictures of your furry friend

If the paw is turned to the side or the pads are completely covered with fur it will be difficult to get an accurate representation.

Ensure the full paw is clearly visible and facing the camera. It may be easier to rotate the camera to align with the paw rather than adjusting the paw itself.
